It is with great pleasure that I accepted to become the honorary president of this first Memory Walk for the Alzheimer Society of Suroît. This organization groups together men and women who have decided to put much effort in helping their neighbour, their community.
The success of this organization is ensured by the personal involvement, the generosity and the devotion of those that work there. By caring for and supporting those suffering from Alzheimer's and by providing services to families, they care for the well-being of members of our community.
Members of the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield city council join me to thank all the volunteers who, day in day out, reach out and show solidarity and empathy to those who have to live through difficult times. May your organization always be present within our community to pursue its humanitarian work.
