It is with great pride that we accepted to get involved with this second edition of the RONA/Dr. Achille Juneau Memory Walk. This fundraising event is sponsored by the Québec Federation of Alzheimer Societies. We are deeply touched that the Walk organized by the Alzheimer Society of Rouyn-Noranda is called after our father. Suffering from this disease for 8 years already, our father always showed a profound and sincere sensitivity towards his patients' illnesses. Even if his intellectual faculties and, most of all, his phenomenal memory are highly affected, he accepted without hesitation to let his name be associated to the Memory Walk.


Unfortunately, Alzheimer's disease has affected several of our acquaintances. The need for supportive care and attention is increasing substantially within the Alzheimer Society of Rouyn-Noranda. Due to a lack of financial resources, the Society has a difficult time meeting the demand. This is why we invite you to actively participate in the Rona/Dr. Achille Juneau Memory Walk, either as a walker or by sponsoring a walker. All the funds collected will be remitted to the Alzheimer Society of Rouyn-Noranda.


So, on May 25th 2008, come and walk with us during the Rona/Dr. Achille Juneau Memory Walk. Your participation will enable you to help and support those suffering from Alzheimer's as well as their loves ones.
