It is with great pleasure that I accepted the honorary presidency of this second edition of the Rona Memory Walk. Alzheimer's disease and related diseases are vicious diseases. They transform the people we love by bringing about the loss of some of their functions or abilities (memory, reasoning, language, judgment...).
Caregivers not only see the person suffering become a mere shadow of their former self, but their own lives also become heavily taxed.
Thus, we must give to finance research and to provide rest for caregivers.
Research may someday prevent these diseases or at least significantly reduce or delay their development. However, this research is expensive...
Our beautiful collective motto "I remember" can only be the total of our individual memories. So, let's make a collective effort to allow each one of us to conserve our memory...
Therefore, I invite you to take part in the Memory Walk...
