As a founding member of the Alzheimer Society for the Matane region, it is with great pleasure that I have accepted the role of honorary president for the 2008 edition of the Memory Walk, which will take place on May 25th 2008.
Since the organizing committee's objective is to collect $20,000 for the Matane region, we are counting on the invaluable collaboration of at least 180 walkers, including 80 elite walkers, to reach the expected goal.
The funds collected will be used to provide quality care, given by well-trained staff in a highly secure environment, to people affected by the disease. These funds will also enable us to continue supporting the families and natural caregivers who accompany their loved ones who are battling with this disease.
I am counting on your generosity to make this walk a success and I invite all of you in great numbers.
